Creating A Price Shift

In this tutorial I am going to show you how to create a price shift within your system.

  • To begin with, click on the menu located in the top left hand corner of your screen, followed by the back office option, followed by products and then followed by price shift.
  • In order to begin this process you need to type in the next available price shift code. If you do not know what this code is, simply click on the drop down window next to edit existing price shift and search for the next available code.
  • For this example the next available code is 001.
  • Once the code has been entered, you then need to choose a title for the price shift.
  • When it comes to entering information regarding the price level offset there are a few things that you must understand before moving forward.
  • When it comes to selecting the price level offset, price level offset 1 refers to price level 2 on your POS.
  • When it comes to selecting your price level offset, you also need to ensure that there is a price entered under that level.
  • If there is no price set for level 2, then when the price shift occurs the price for that item will be set to $0.00, so you must make sure that EVERY item in your system has at least 2 price levels entered.
  • Once you are sure all of this information is correct, you can choose the correct price level offset for the desired price shift.
  • Once you have chosen the pricing, you then need to select when the price shift is going to occur. This can be accomplished by selecting specific dates and times to both start and stop.
  • If you do not want to choose specific dates, you can also choose days of the week by clicking on the boxes next to the days that you require.
  • Once all of the information is correct, you can then click the save button and you will be informed that the price shift has been added.

CREATE OVERNIGHT PRICE SHIFT (EX: HAPPY HOUR OVERNIGHT):

Assume that you want to create a happy hour price from 17:00 Thursday to 05:00 Friday, you must create 2 price shifts.

  1. The first price shift namely Thurdays Happy Hour 1 will start from 17:00 to 23:59 on THURSDAY.
  2. The second price shift namely Thursday Happy Hour 2 (same price level offset with the first one) will start from 00:00 to 05:00 on FRIDAY.
