For companies that are only selling their online products to their membership or those that ask their customers to have an account in order to continue to accumulate loyalty points for example please complete the following steps:
Log in to the admin section of Prestahop
Use the menu on the left of the page to click on 'Customers' and then the 'Customers' option that appears underneath the first 'Customers'
This contains a list of everyone that currently has an account on the customer website
To add a new customer account, click on the 'Add new customer' on the top right of the page
Fill in all the details including a temporary password and hit Save
This will return you to the Customers list where you can see your new customer has been added
At this point, notify the customer of their new account details and ask them to login on the customer website
Once they have logged in they can change their temporary password to a more permanent one by clicking on 'Personal info' at the bottom of the page and changing their password on the account page.
Customers can also add their own account to the system via the 'Create Account' link at the top of the page or if applicable, during the payment process.
This will automatically add this new customer to the Customers page of the admin account.
